The music for Sunday kicked off with a live version of The Doors singing Van Morrison’s “Gloria”.

This song has been  covered by so many people and each one is a bit unique.

Favorite Line:

Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

Through 125

The music opened earlier with The Doors and “Love Me Two Times”.

Favorite line:

Love me two times, baby
Love me twice today

This is another song that could have easily found itself on my top 100 songs list if I had heard it when I was building it.

The first song this morning was “Light My Fire” by The Doors. It’s not L.A Woman, but it works.

“Gloria” Van Morrison via Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Tom Petty played this in Charlotte back in 2002, and that was my favorite rendition of the songs imply because I was there. I couldn’t find it on youtube, so I had to go with something similar.

Bruce Springsteen has an outstanding cover of it.
Jimmy Morrison & The Doors have a very sexually explicit version of it as well.

Pandora serenaded me this morning with my personal anthem. “Been Down So Long” from The Doors.

Favorite line? The opener

“Well, I’ve been down so Goddamn long
That it looks like up to me”
