The first song on this Wednesday morning was a live version of “Hotel California from the Eagles.

I love that my imagination allows me to visualize driving through the desert in an old 80′s Mercedes convertible while hearing this song. It even allows me to imagine the longer hair. Just flying through the night, the only card on the road.

Fitting line:

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air

Over the past three days or so I’ve split this 3 hour marathon of a  Netflix documentary up.

If you like the Eagles, then it’s well worth your time.  You learn a lot about how songs were formed and chosen and the demons that the band had and mostly worked through.

“The
creative impulse comes from the dark side of the

personality.
We worked it good.”

-Don
Henley, Eagles

Day 101, starts a fresh collection. It opens with a live Eagles version of “Peaceful Easy Feeling”.

Favorite Line:

I like the way sparkling earrings lay
Against your skin so brown
And I want to sleep with you in the desert night
With a million stars all around

The first song this morning was “One Of These Nights”  from the Eagles.

Favorite Line:

“The full moon is calling, the fever is high
And the wicked wind whispers and moans
You got your demons, you got your desires
Well, I got a few of my own”

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

“Hotel California” Eagles

This is easily my favorite Eagles song. It paints so many pictures with its lyrics. So many in fact it’s quite hard to pick a favorite lyric.
